We have driven by Monica’s Chocolates several times and today we decided to go on in. Monica greeted us as soon as we walked through the door and asked if we had ever been there before. After we told her this was our first time, she started asking us if we liked this-and-that types of chocolate. Of course, we did! She told us she would bring out samples for us to taste. The ‘samples’ turned out to be full size bonbons! Everything we tasted was absolutely wonderful! After our sampling, Monica told us we could go downstairs where the chocolate is made and decorated.
Inside Monica's Chocolates
We got the full tour from an employee and learned all about the different products made there. It’s a very hands-on operation.
Rolling truffles
Trays of bonbons waiting to be wrapped
Piping shaped chocolate bars - these were shaped liked lobsters
Dipping chocolate bonbons in more chocolate
It was a lot of fun! We, of course, made a selection for purchase.
