The store smells
wonderful! When we visited they were
making bath bombs. They have different
sizes, including a giant bath bomb, but at this time they were making the
smaller ones.
It was interesting to
see that they were using a kitchen mixer.
In fact, they advertise that all their natural body care products are
made fresh daily in their visitor-friendly kitchen.
We were the only
customers in the store and the employees were very friendly. The bath bombs are mostly baking soda with
lots of citric acid, oils and coloring.
Adding coloring and oils (scent) to the mixture.
After mixing the
ingredients are hand-scooped into a mold.
It’s then pressed and
the bath bomb is popped out.
They also make lip
balms, shampoo bars, butters, scrubs, lotions, etc.
There were lots of slabs of soap waiting to
be cut into bars.
Large slab of soap ready to be cut.
More soap.
They dry for several
days before ready to sell.
220 different scents!
Of course, we made a
purchase.
A great smelling store! It would be fun to go back when they are making soap.
That one factory tour looks fun too! I think everyone could find a scent they like given 220 - of course with so many smells going at once I'm not sure how you'd tell one from another.
ReplyDeleteI sniffed several of them and they were all pretty strong. We were given large slivers - trimmings from the slabs - and I just put it in the living room. It smells great. It's lemon verbena (I used to grow lemon verbena so I recognized the smell.)
DeleteWe miss the big bathtub We had in our house. So no bath bombs neeed for now. But the tour sounds like fun. I prefer shower gel to bar soap so that isn't in our trailer either.
ReplyDeleteThey also had shower bombs. Just lay it on the floor. One bomb would last for one shower. We didn't get any - it's not worth doing something to our RV tanks. We also use the liquid soap. Bar soap is too messy. I'll give it a try and she how it does in a zip-lock when we're traveling. At least it will smell good!
