This is the view out our back window:
Walking a few steps back gives a wider view of the lakes in the park and the mountains beyond.
A closer look at the Spanish Peaks. The tallest is 13,626 feet.
And a local Cottontail Rabbit stopped just below a window to check out the new neighbors.
The forecast here calls for a 70% chance of snow tomorrow with a low of 23 degrees. We're sure not in Texas anymore. Stay tuned for some snow pictures!!

The views out your window sure are pretty. Stay warm.
ReplyDelete23* does not sound friendly to me. :(
ReplyDeleteLooks like another beautiful spot!

Hopefully the snow and cold does not stick around too long. Colorado is a beautiful place.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures as always! How was your stay at Palo Duro? We want to go there soon. Is it hard to get a motorhome down in there? We're not terribly big, under 35 feet, but we're newbies and still nervous about driving and parking.
ReplyDeleteHave fun in Colorado! Snow? brrrr, no thanks. :-)
Pam
Hi Pam. We stayed five nights in Palo Duro Canyon and it was great. It got pretty warm a couple of days (low 90's) but we got up and hiked first thing in the morning and missed the worst of it. The hike to The Lighthouse is a classic!
DeleteWe've been down there twice with our 35' fifth wheel and I didn't have any problems. It is really steep for a couple of miles, but if you take your time going down and then back up it isn't too bad.
The campsites themselves are large and easy to get into, so no worries there!
