We had seamless rain gutters installed on our house.
A couple of weeks ago a worker came to the house and measured, marked where the down spouts would be, and matched the color they would use to the color of our house.
Unfortunately, this day when the workers arrived I wasn't there. When I told one of the worker guys how sorry I was to have missed watching the process, he kindly gave me a demonstration.
The first thing the workers did was to measure each run on the house.
This giant roll of metal is the start of the gutter:
The roll isn't attached now but this is the beginning of the machine. The roll would be held on top of the machine and fed through the back.
This is all they had left to finish when I got to the house.
I know you were wondering and, YES, the new gate still works with the gutters in place.
It was a lot of fun having my very own factory tour right in the front yard.
Interesting process. I have heard of seamless gutters, but didn't know how it was done.
ReplyDeleteIt was really interesting. It was fast too.
DeleteFunny thing - Randy guessed it was going to be a seamless gutter factory tour. Interesting process. Nice that something went well and smoothly for you!
ReplyDeleteThey were fast, didn't have any problems, cleaned up after themselves and it looks great.
