After weeks and, in some cases months, the “big day” has arrived!
Here is the star of the 41st Annual Tree Lighting at LBJ State Park and Historic Site.

Since Saturday was our last day as volunteers at the park, we didn't have to work today and were able to walk around and enjoy the festivities.

What's next for you two? Will you be camping over the holidays?
ReplyDeleteHi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you’ve been following along with us!
We’re home for Christmas (got home yesterday) and will leave for Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge late next week.
We will be there January through March as volunteers. It sounds like we will be doing a lot of trail maintenance and, hopefully, Mark will be able to lead nature walks.
I hope you and Shelia have a wonderful Christmas.
Teri
I like the luminaries pic, very pretty. Also, the live nativity looks interesting. You couldn't do that here -- it would be too cold outside! And the two piggies are cute.
ReplyDeleteGuess you two have just enough time to wash clothes, take a short rest, then it's time to pack again and go! Have fun!
Have fun at Santa Anna! We'll be in the Valley in late January with some participants from our beginning birder class.
ReplyDeleteHave a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
