Una Casa Nueva

Front of house.

Back area. (5 acres)

This has been an interesting year for us (and everyone else).  With a surgery for each of us and being off of the road for all of 2020 with COVID, we were finding that our 400 sf park-model home was feeling a little cramped. Plus, our RV park is up for sale, and who knows what the future will bring with regards to that.

We started looking at homes in this area (on the internet), and found a perfect home on a 5-acre wooded tract, about two miles from where we are now! We looked at it a couple of times, made an offer, and closed this morning.

We are scheduled to volunteer again in November and are looking forward to that, and we hope to resume our "typical" travels when things return to normal. But when the time comes to throttle our RV travels back, we've got our next place all worked out.

  1. Congratulation Mark and Teri! Getting a full blown house again was a big step for us too. I sometimes wish we were still full time in our RV, but we also like it here. Enjoy your new digs!

    1. We intend to keep plugging away with the RVing and volunteering, but if 2020 has taught us anything, it is that plans can change!!

  2. For a house without wheels that's a pretty nice looking abode. Congratulations. Time to buy a lawnmower or maybe a goat?

    1. We are planning to do no "lawn" at all, but there are some sunny open areas with native grasses. We'll see if mowing becomes necessary, but sort of hope not!

  3. Welcome (back) to the world of home ownership! Was that on your 2020 Bingo card?

Look forward to seeing it someday!

    1. We certainly didn't go into 2020 with this plan!
