At the Water Trough

We have an old water trough in a small opening near our site, and I decided to break out our seldom-used game cam to see who visits it during the night. We've had a surprising number and variety of animals stop by for a drink.

The very first animal pictures we got were of a Gray Fox. Gray Foxes are not the most common animal at the water trough, but they seem to make at least nightly stops.

I changed the location of the camera a bit after the first night to get more of the action. This is the low end of the trough, so it's easier for the smaller animals to drink from it.

You can look at the information on the bottom of the picture to see the time and date, as well as the temperature.

A fox does walk by the trailer occasionally in the daylight, but it doesn't exactly stop and pose.  I hope to get something better than this before we leave.

Stay tuned for more game cam pictures.
